How to transfer the license from Pro app to standard

As of February 2022 we no longer offer a paid app with Pro features, instead we integrated Premium subscription into free app, so that it does not require complicated transfer of recordings between applications.

Pro app users can still use the app and will receive support through updates. Additionally, their lifetime license will also appear in the free app

Migrate from Voice Recorder Pro app.

Migrate license

A migration may be necessary to gain access to future planned features.

  1. Install the Voice Recorder Pro if not installed
    • Open the settings menu by tapping on your profile picture in the top right corner.
    • Tap on Manage Apps & Games.
    • Switch to "Not installed" and install Voice Recorder Pro.
  2. Open Voice Recorder Pro
  3. It should send signal to free app and authorize license, once that you will no longer need the Voice Recorder Pro installed on your device.

Migrate Recrodings

Recordings on Android 9 or less will be transferred automatically, while on Android 10+, you will need to move recordings files to another folder:

  1. Using any file manager app open Voice Recorder Pro directory: /Android/data/com.first75.voicerecorder2pro/files/Recordings
  2. Move the contents of the folder to Voice Recorder directory: /Android/data/com.first75.voicerecorder2/files/Recordings
  3. The transferred recordings should appear after starting the application

Migrate Bookmarks & Settings

As yet, migration of these data is not possible, they should be transferred manually in the application.

Note:

Migration requires both applications version 9.2.0 or higher.
