sync_alt Migration

Migrate from Voice Recorder Pro.

Voice Recorder Pro users can still keep their license access, and recordings can be moved into the current app when needed.

  • Since February 2022, Pro features are offered through the free app with Premium.
  • Existing Pro app users can still keep using the Pro app and receive updates.
  • Their lifetime license can also appear in the free app after migration.

Migrate the license

A migration may be useful to unlock future features in the current app.

  1. Install Voice Recorder Pro if it is not already installed.
  2. In Google Play, open Manage apps & games, switch to Not installed, and reinstall Voice Recorder Pro if needed.
  3. Open Voice Recorder Pro.
  4. The Pro app should send an authorization signal to the free app so the license becomes available there.

Move recordings

On Android 9 or earlier, recordings should transfer automatically. On Android 10 and later, you may need to move them manually:

  1. Open the Voice Recorder Pro folder with a file manager: /Android/data/com.first75.voicerecorder2pro/files/Recordings
  2. Move the contents into the current Voice Recorder folder: /Android/data/com.first75.voicerecorder2/files/Recordings
  3. Open the app again and the transferred recordings should appear.

Bookmarks and settings

Bookmarks and app settings cannot currently be migrated automatically and need to be recreated manually in the app.
